Selling Houses in East Nashville
February 4th, 2010 taylor2I have lived in East Nashville for 16 years. My family and I are very happy and comfortable in this neighborhood. I have made many nice friends and one of our simple pleasures is to exercise together. A group of us get up early and walk the hills of our urban oasis. One of our favorite topics of conversation during our walks is the selling price of the houses for sale in the area.
We have been lucky on the east side of the Cumberland River. Real estate has held its value well, while in other parts of town it has lost a big chunk of its monetary value. I think there are a couple of reasons for the stable real estate environment. One reason is the volume of well - maintained older homes. It’s pretty easy to find a home in East Nashville that has only had three previous owners since the house was built. Another appealing quality is the attractiveness of the new homes. Many new houses built in the last ten years look like they could be 60 or 70 years old. The great thing about those homes is they have modern features such as closet space and multiple bathrooms.
I like the choice that I made to live in East Nashville. I am pleased that other people find the area to be comfortable. It is a great place to call home.
