In Soccer practice games, the factors that have a direct impact on the successful planning and execution are many and I’m sure you must be aware of it. Dividing players into small groups, continuously altering the formations, keep changing their activities, modifying the formations, sufficient equipment availability, and building soccer drills in a game like fashion. I shall explain these factors for you to have a better understanding.
Divide players into small groups: You can use grids to classify the borders of common space for every group. Player’s safety is of prime importance here, so take it seriously. All through the soccer practice games, also ensure that your capacity to examine your players does not take a backseat. Through this plan, every kid gets numerous chances to get in contact with the ball. Grouping kids based on what their age is an additional way to break them up.
Altering the formations; for effecting a better grooming of players, make it a point to continue changing their combination among various groups. Thus, all the players find it easy to get their hand on with each other. Soccer training like this has the effect of developing players in a comparatively lesser time with more skils. As a coach, you have the freedom to add more and more activities to the practice sessions.
Make the activities different each time in the session and do not allow the kids to spend a lot of time on 1 drill. When you continue varying the drills, the players get to participate in a variety of them.
Hence, they perform well because of less monotony. Changing the order of activities occasionally helps drills go on smoothly. For example, design soccer exercises that use triangles, squares, and circles for drill work to add variety to the drills.
Managing enough equipment: Since there are now several groups working on different drills, they should have enough equipment. It is an absolute must to have 24 small size game markers of different colors, scrimmage vests, and a ball for every player. Arrange for temporary goals in addition to regular goals for various drills.
Working out the drills in a game-like situation: However, nothing must overrule the fact that kids must enjoy the game fully. So, it is vital that the drills are undertaken in a game-like scenario. This way the players will develop skills and concepts and at the same time enjoy the game to the fullest. Let it be known that water breaks and stretching are not included in the time schedule discussed above. This time needs to be accounted for separately.
